Unit 6 Ideas for exhibiton

Image
Mounting and Presentation For my exhibition, my Images will be photo print paper and the size of my final four images will be A3 because sadly ProAm doesn't do 20cm by 14cm. The colour of my images will be full colour and the texture will be matte. The shape of my images will all be square. For the exhibition, I will have four final images which show the similarities and contrasts between Leeds and Spain. These four images will be hung in the middle all in a row. My images will all be hung via bull dog clips to give it a simple yet elegant look.

Unit 6 Darkroom prints

Image
Here are my test strips, the first one is two different exposures. The first one is 2 seconds and then the second one is 4 seconds. The second test strip includes three different exposures the first one is 2 seconds, the second one is 5 seconds and the last one is 7 seconds.  This print has been exposed for two seconds and to me is perfectly in focus. The framing, however, is a little odd as I can't frame to save my life. I also cut off the corners as my own style.  This image is also exposed to two seconds, however, I think that it came off too dark and the framing is off but overall the image is in focus.  This image has an exposure of two seconds and is mildly out of focus. The framing, however, is quite good.  This is the same image with the same exposure of two seconds but it is in focus and has worse framing. This image has been exposed for two seconds and is in focus, however, the framing is bad.

Unit 6 Analysis of all shoots

Analysis of Spain shoot I spent a week in Spain, I was prepared with all of my gear sadly I only brought 3 rolls of film and I only got to use one due to the fact that my boyfriend used the other two. The photos that I did manage to take were an overall success, however, I wish that I had planned my shots out more considerately so that I used the roll effectively instead of going a bit trigger happy with taking landscape shots. Although I did get some great social documentary photos that I am proud of.  All of my photos were in focus and well exposed, however, when scanning I can see there was dust on the film so I will have to rescan. I think that the shots that I took in Spain fit with my target audience as it represents Palma. If I was to shoot this again I would travel further to a more populated part of Palma as I did stay in the more rural part of Palma. I also would experiment and do some double exposures which would feature the water over a picture of scenery or pe...

Unit 6 Target audience

Target audience I think that the types of people who would be interested in my work would be people who regularly go to art galleries, art exhibitions and people who generally like photography. I think that these people are going to be interested in my work because it will show the contrast of England and Spain which I think people will be quite interested in. I also think that the demographic of people would be all ages but if I were to take an educated guess from my research I would say people from the age of 16 to 35. Who regularly visit art exhibitions/galleries.  I definitely think that my work would be used commercially because it is creative, artistic and eye-catching. I would say that my final three shots would all have different uses starting off with the first one which could potentially be a homeless leaflet to promote awareness of the growing population of homeless in the Leeds area.  The other two shots would probably be used as artwork that would either...

Unit 6 York photo-shoot review

York photo-shoot review On the 25th of April, we went to york where we took photos of our chosen genre which for me was the social documentary so I tried to get as many photos of the public around town. I noticed that on this particular day there weren't many people around which wasn't great for my particular genre so I had to wait for the rush hour times around city centre where I tried to get as many shots of people and the town as possible. I managed to get lost around york as I used google maps and it took me 30 minutes out of town so I was at a disadvantage when taking photos and I also got caught in the huge hailstorm as I was making my way back to town. I then met up with the rest of the group and waited for 20 minutes until the hailstorm cleared a little. We then went to the railway museum where we looked at all the trains and blended in with all the tourists. After looking at what seemed 100+ trains I then went to the train station where I waited for the train bac...
