Unit 6 York photo-shoot review
York photo-shoot review
On the 25th of April, we went to york where we took photos of our chosen genre which for me was the social documentary so I tried to get as many photos of the public around town. I noticed that on this particular day there weren't many people around which wasn't great for my particular genre so I had to wait for the rush hour times around city centre where I tried to get as many shots of people and the town as possible. I managed to get lost around york as I used google maps and it took me 30 minutes out of town so I was at a disadvantage when taking photos and I also got caught in the huge hailstorm as I was making my way back to town.
I then met up with the rest of the group and waited for 20 minutes until the hailstorm cleared a little. We then went to the railway museum where we looked at all the trains and blended in with all the tourists. After looking at what seemed 100+ trains I then went to the train station where I waited for the train back to Bradford. If I were to do this shoot again I would probably go at a busier time so that I can photograph as many people as possible. I would also check the weather extensively and go when it is sunny.
