Unit 6 Analysis of all shoots

Analysis of Spain shoot
I spent a week in Spain, I was prepared with all of my gear sadly I only brought 3 rolls of film and I only got to use one due to the fact that my boyfriend used the other two. The photos that I did manage to take were an overall success, however, I wish that I had planned my shots out more considerately so that I used the roll effectively instead of going a bit trigger happy with taking landscape shots. Although I did get some great social documentary photos that I am proud of.

All of my photos were in focus and well exposed, however, when scanning I can see there was dust on the film so I will have to rescan. I think that the shots that I took in Spain fit with my target audience as it represents Palma. If I was to shoot this again I would travel further to a more populated part of Palma as I did stay in the more rural part of Palma. I also would experiment and do some double exposures which would feature the water over a picture of scenery or people.

Analysis of black and white shoot
I shot my black and white shoot in rush due to the fact that I had a very busy week, so on Monday, I decided to wake up at 6 am and go to town. This wasn't the brightest idea because not many people were out and most of the shops around town weren’t open. This was terrible planning on my part as I had to wait an hour and a half to just see a couple people. This prompted me to take some pictures of the Oastler Market the Kirkgate area.

After the shoot, I saw that some of my shots were motion blurred as I moved when taking the shots but overall the photos I took were satisfactory to me. I would say that the photos did fit with the genre but I should’ve been more considerate with my shots. This shoot was definitely a flop as the exposure, focus and target audience was lost in this shoot. If I were to shoot this again I would probably plan a better time and not move as much when taking shots or even bring my monopod.

Analysis of first colour shoot in Leeds
When arriving in Leeds it started to rain which was a blessing and a curse because it is the classic British weather but annoying because I did not want to get my film camera wet. For this shoot, I used Kodacolor film due to the fact that I couldn't get my regular ASA 200 as I couldn't get them from my regular shop.

I think these images do represent my genre and are technically sound as they are focused correctly and exposed nicely. these photos are for my target audience as they display the idea that I originally came up with. The shoot went great as I managed to get some nice photos of the people of Leeds and the places that are regularly visited. If I was to shoot this again I would probably be more decisive with my shots as I feel like I may have rushed the shoot.
