Unit 8 Magazine research

I found this image in a library book called MagCulture (741.652), to me this image has a retro style because the model is wearing clothing which looks like it represents 50's culture. The target audience for this magazine is for teens up until older adults, and this magazine is targeted towards people who enjoy fashion, art, music and design.

The title is at the top of the image and is in a white bold text and then there is a smaller text underneath the name of the magazine stating what the magazine has included inside it. Then at the bottom of the image there is a bold black text highlighted in green to stand out from the black and white image even more. The cover consists of one main image which is a head and shoulders portrait of a women seductively looking at the camera. I would say this image has been shot in a studio because of the lighting used and solid background. 

This double spread is from a magazine called Mayhem! To me this image has a modern style to it because the model is wearing current clothing for the time. This magazine is a lifestyle magazine which is aimed at teens up to adults. The title of this image is the artist's name which is bright red and looks to be painted on to give it more of a modern vibe. 

To the lower left and right of the image there is an article of someone interviewing the artist in the image, you can tell this because the questions are wrote in red text and the answers are in black. This image a double spread which means the image continues from one page to another. This image seems to have been taken in a location maybe a backstage room. This photo is not only in colour but black and white too because the background of the image looks to have been edited in black and white to and the artist is in colour to make the artist stand out more.

This is an online image from Vogue magazine, this image to me has a modern style because of the people and what they are wearing. This magazines audience is fashion but because of the artists on front page it will attract there audience which is music and their age will be around teens up until older adults. The title hidden being the image of the artists in uppercase golden letters. The rest of the text around the image to the right, left and bottom is in bold white font, apart from the headline. This image is in colour and has been taken in a studio setting we can tell this by the background of the image.

This image is a spread from a magazine called The Times, this image is a modern style because of the clothing the model is wearing. The target audience for this magazine is lifestyle which ranges from young teens  up to mature adults. In the top right corner there is a bold white text highlighted in black stating that the edition of this magazine is men's style special. Then the text to the middle left is underlined and bold. The last text is in the bottom right corner stating the prices of the clothes he is wearing. This double spread consists of two separate images one head and shoulders and the other full length. Both images are in colour and have both been shot in a studio setting. 

This image is from a magazine called the The Sunday Times which is a lifestyle magazine, and this style is retro because of his clothing and the chair he is sat on is also very retro. The audience for this magazine is geared towards young adults to mature adults. The title of this magazine is in bold uppercase white letters above the image, the text located on the top left corner is also in capital letters then underneath is more text that is in lowercase letters. The last text is located on the bottom left corner in capital letters then underneath in lowercase letters. I Think the magazine designer purposely made the text all white because of the older mans suit which shows a theme without. The cover is all in colour and is one image. 

This image is from Child magazine which focuses on parenting. The style of this image is modern you can tell this by looking at the models clothing and hair cut. This magazine is targeted at mothers and fathers from all ages wanting to know more tips on parenting. The title of this magazine is in a very boring text font but tries to make it interesting by giving it a bold yellow colour. 

The following texts to the left and right of the image include pink, white and black of all font sizes. Also the bottom right text is in a bold yellow colour similar to the font.The cover of this magazine only includes one colour image of a young child.
