Unit 29 Your idea for "In The Summertime".

How are you going to interpret the theme? (Or what are you going to photograph) For the theme “Summertime” I’m going to interpret it as a time of fun in the sun! This is because the summer holidays are known for there fun and joyous activities. My photos are going to represent this in my subjects who are children.
What locations are you going to use? Bradford city park, Leeds canals and many more.
What techniques will you try? Depth of field, and water play.
When will you be doing the photo-shoots? July and August.
What equipment will you use? Tripod and lens hood.
Target Audience (What would your imagery be suitable for? (e.g. for a set of postcards or for a country magazine feature) Magazine, or a series of photographs.

Unit 25 Final evaluation

Final evaluation For our first task, we had to research studio food photographers in order to take some techniques and learn about studio food photography more. I researched three photographers called Marcus Nilsson, David Munns and Matt Armendariz. What I got from all of those photographers were that simplicity in your photos is the best way to go about it. The next task was primary research where we had to go out and take pictures of food. I chose to go to the Oastler market to take pictures of fruit and vegetables. For this next task, we had to research the two different lighting types which were high key and low key. When researching these lighting types I found that using high key would be a better choice when taking food photographs because it looks like a window like. Unit 25 Exposure meters

Exposure meters  An exposure meter is a device that is used to measure the amount of light to determine a proper exposure. The earliest light meters were called extinction meters and they contained a numbered or lettered row that has natural density filters. This means that when the photographer would meter his subject the filter with the greatest density would still allow incident light to pass through. The letter or number (whatever type of row that you had) would correspond to the filter and this was used as an index into a chart of aperture and shutter speed combinations for a given film speed aka ISO. The only bad thing that occurred with the extinction meters was that they were heavily dependent on the light sensitivity of the human eye, this was bad because this can vary person to person.
